Bus restoration project to tell Arad’s history
The goal of the project is to promote Arad’s history: the first Hungarian automobile company founded in Arad produced the MARTA West model buses and produced 150 of the first taxis in Budapest.
The office building of this historic Arad factory was donated to the city by its owner in 2021 and declared a historical monument.
Recently, plans were announced to renovate the dilapidated building, which will cost approximately €11 million.
